We are currently accepting applications for 2026 Mazuma Foundation Grants! Non-profit organizations serving the Kansas City metropolitan area through community development, financial education, and/or the arts are encouraged to apply.
The Mazuma Foundation was created in 2015 as part of our commitment to providing financial assistance to our community, and each year the Foundation helps support organizations that are making a positive impact on our city! 2025’s Mazuma Foundation grant recipients were awarded a combined total of $70,000 in grants to fund a wide range of community-focused initiatives in the arts, education, and community development.
Enhancing Community Impact
Kansas City benefits from the missions of many incredible organizations that are dedicated to making a positive impact on our community. Through the Mazuma Foundation, we’re honored to support their work and enable them to increase the scope of the good they do for our neighbors.
How does a Mazuma Foundation Grant make a difference?
“Our mission is to provide access to the arts for Kansas City teens,” says Martin English, TeenTix KC Executive Director. “However, generous donors like the Mazuma Foundation allow us to do more than just create access - they help us empower teens to take an active role in shaping their arts community as critics, influencers and leaders. Our work helps activate the next generation of advocates who value the arts and believe they should always be an integral part of our community."
Steve Leiker, Outreach Coordinator for The Salvation Army’s Street Outreach Team, another 2025 grant recipient, says that “the support of the Mazuma Foundation is truly a blessing. This grant helped us provide food and supplies to the unhoused community in the Kansas City area. Supplies like bottled water, blankets, hand warmers, hats, gloves, hygiene kits, socks, flashlights, and batteries are critical in Winter months. In addition to providing a hot meal and necessities to help our friends withstand extreme temperatures, we can encourage them to sign up for programs to help them get off the street.”
Mazuma is proud to be able to support local organizations like these in the important work they do to make our communities smarter, stronger, and more vibrant!
