There are these very rare and outdated commodities called “checks,” and from time to time, people actually still use them. Great news, though — you no longer need to drive to a branch every time you’ve gotta deposit Grandma Fanny’s oh-so-generous $15 birthday present. Instead, just snap a photo of the front and back of the check with your smartphone, upload the image onto our mobile app, and BOOM! Money.

First things first, you need Online Banking to get started:

How Mobile Deposit Works

  1. Download the app. You’ll need the most recent version of the Mazuma mobile app for your smart phone.
  2. Open the Mazuma app. Then, select “Deposit Checks” from the menu.
  3. Select an account. Pick the account you're depositing to.
  4. Enter the check amount.
  5. Snap a Photo. Take a picture of both sides of your endorsed check with your camera, following the on-screen instructions.
  6. Tap “Deposit Check”. All done! You’ll get a confirmation number.
