Mazuma Credit Union is fortunate to have many Community Partner relationships that have been built and endured over many years. Our relationship with the local chapter of Jack and Jill of America is one of those wonderful relationships.
Each year for the better part of a decade, we’ve hosted Jack and Jill in our headquarters for youth financial education events. We always look forward to sharing our space with local families who are there to play, learn, and boost their financial well-being together.
This year’s event was another resounding success, with parents and kids of all ages accessing topics that resonate for their stage of life. The youngest groups enjoyed hands-on, activity-based programming about financial basics like spending and saving, while teenagers attended a workshop on entrepreneurship and artificial intelligence. Parents, meanwhile, had the opportunity to learn about opening trusts
Jack and Jill of America is a membership organization of mothers with children ages 2 to 19, dedicated to nurturing future African American leaders. Its mission centers on enriching children’s lives through leadership development, volunteer service, philanthropic giving, and civic duty.
Through structured programming, community service projects, and national and regional initiatives, the organization works to improve the quality of life for all children, with a particular focus on African American communities. Jack and Jill emphasizes cultural awareness, academic excellence, and social responsibility as foundations for preparing children for successful and engaged adulthood.
